I have a rec for a former Gamecock player. Josh Brown, a former kicker for the University of South Carolina, kicked the game winning field goal against UT a couple years ago. He was in church bright and early the next morning where he was recognized during the sermon by the pastor. He was a great guy who had a strong faith and kept God first in his life.

ReplyDeleteWe have a group of Christian friends who live in and attend the same church in Conway, South Carolina and travel over a hundred miles for each home game, make a day of tailgating, fellowship and Gamecock Football and get back home for church service the next morning.

I am a Christian and while I cannot claim to be in church every Sunday, I am most. I actually tailgate with a young upstart church called Midtown aimed at (but not limited to) us students and other young professionals. If you were looking to speak with a large group of young Christian gamecocks I am sure you would be welcome to eat with us! And of course invited to worship the next morning.
