Some thought provoking questions. I took my kids to all the games but we never spent the night. We always came home to go to church on Sunday. It was always understood that if God gave us the ability to go to the game he also gave us the ability to go to church on Sunday
ReplyDeleteLittle Dooey is always mentioned on ESPN. It's a must. The Grill is good to. The Cotton District is a cool part of town. You have to talk about cowbells too. The on campus Chapel, and a story from someone married there, would me a must have story for your book.
ReplyDeleteParker Wiseman, the mayor of starkville, and former state student (graduated around 2001 or so), would be a good guy to contact/follow.
They always talk about UGA at GA but Miss State has a bulldog for a mascot too. You should check out the vet school and get the story of Bully.
ReplyDeleteChad. Helms told me to get in touch with you.
ReplyDeleteI can relay several State fans to you. Contact me by email - matt.haines@wwbc.org and I will get you some names and contact info.
As far as places to see and eat, I agree that Little Dooey's is a must, as is Oby's, in Columbus you can check out Rueben's Catfish House too.
